10 tips for the doubles

2. Most returns will be hit inside out or cross-court

3. Do not try to hit an outright winner. Use the return to set up the next shot.

4. Pick out a target to return to.

5. Do not play your opponent. Focus on the ball.

6. Do not forget to hit some returns directly at the server.

7. An aggressive play is to return serve and immediately follow it to the net

8. Servers will come in behind their serve knowing they only have to protect half of the court. But hitting off-speed shots that pull the server wide will make it tough for him/her to hit a high-quality volley.

9. As a surprise tactic, use a lob on the return

10. Hit some returns right at the net player
